31723   imageA COLLECTION OVER 60 YEARS IN THE MAKING 1840-1970, Very complete collection in two Windsor albums, mainly mint, starting with three unused 1840 1d black (plates 1b, 2 and 8), 1840 2d unused, 1841 1d red pl.8 unused, and so on, with an example nearly ever SG no. in the line engraved section, incl. plate numbers of the 1857-79 1d (complete), 1870 1/2d incl two pl.9 and finishing ith the 1870 1 1/2d OP-PC error of lettering, Embossed issues incl. unused example of each value, incl. used, shades and specimens, surface printed issues incl. paper varieties, plate numbers, some specimens, incl.1862-64 3d with white dots imperf. and imprimatur, again shades for each value incl. 2s cobalt and milky blue, high values on blued and white papers, some varieties incl. inverted watermarks, a specialied collection of KEVII and KGV issues follows with an emphasis on shades, incl. the Seahorses which incl. two £1 green, later sections with PUC £1, Officials, postage dues, QEII pre-decimal era with all the Castles sets, definitives with a good deal of completion, phosphor issues, postage dues and regionals.
