1904   imageSPECTACULAR KEVII COVER RETURNED FROM JAPAN WITH P.O. LABELS, ETC.; Commercial 22 Nov. 1906 cover from Derby (printed flap of "ELLAM, JONES & Co.", large paint/varnish manufacturers) to Japan with KEVII 1d (2) + ½d . The addressees could not be found so there are numerous red 'chops' on the attached Yokohama undeliverable label. There is also a very fine purple oval "ADVERTISED/YOKOHAMA" d.s. (15 Jan. 1907) with blue "RETOUR." & "INCONNU" marks on the front. There is also a "DERBY" backstamp of 16 Apr. 1907; that makes almost 6 months for the round-trip! Remarkable cover.
