Lot 1574 - REMARKABLE IMPERF 3c FRANKING TO FRANCE; Unusual EL (central crease) to Nantes franked strips of three & four 1851 3c cut into in places, slightly overlapping & with indistinct bar cancels. Tied by New Orleans d.s., French transit cds and "8" decimes due mark, all on front plus a NY transit d.s. Rear with London, Paris-Nantes TPO and Nantes cds. Scarce & striking franking carried on the Baltic for the 21c rate. Cross Reference: FRANCE.... Sold for GBP 300
