650 image1855, 2 r. carmine, type II, surcharged "Y 1-4", exhibiting a double overprint error, sent locally in Havana, cut into along base otherwise four margins, lovely fresh vigorous shade, tied by oval cancel with Havana datestamp alongside in black dated 14 April 1859, horizontal filing crease with toning not affecting adhesive, some soiling, otherwise fine, very rare example of this overprint error; the only recorded with the double printing; important piece of Cuban philately from the Spanish colonies.
