Underpaid and charged with oval "MORE TO PAY" handstamp in black with original notation '1 s.' reduced to '6 d.' in manuscript due. Reverse with manuscript "Posted 11.40 AM." and Melbourne arrival (Aug 14) in blue. Recess by Perkins Bacon 1854 (Aug 1): Swan 1 d. black, provisonally rouletted circa 12 on three sides, wmk. Swan upright, a used example clearly showing the roulettes and portions of five adjoining adhesives (note the closeness of the spacing between the stamps at top), neatly cancelled by neat "3" numeral obliterator of Perth in black.
