4122 image1922: De La Rue Appendix sheet with perforated Badge Issue Colour Trials (6) of the 1 d. value, all different and four bicoloured, applied to two sheets for the Colour Scheme for the issue for proposed ½ d., 1½ d., 2 d., 3 d., 4 d. and 8 d. duties; the 1½ d. and 3 d. values in single colours to align with the Madrid UPU convention. Dated at top "14 October 1922 / St. Helena" with requistion number below; all in the accepted issued colours with the exception of the proposed 2 d. where the grey frame was deemed to be too dark in shade with manuscript note from Crown Agent's approval (19 Oct 1922): "2 d. grey to be made lighter to distinguish it from the ½ d.".
