882 image1937 (Sept. 8): St. Patrick 2/6 d. green used on First Day of Issue on registered envelope from Waterford "Port Lairge 8.IX.37" to USA, backstamped on reverse with New York transit to North Dakota, USA together with St. Patrick 10 s. indigo single franking on similar registered cover from the same correspondence from Wateford cancelled by "Port Lairge 31.1.38" cds. with "Deville Lake N.Dakota Feb. 8 1938" arrival mark on reverse. Despite some traces of former glue and partly missing flap on reverse of first cover, both of fresh and fine appearance. Scarce St Patrick high value single frankings. (Image 1)
