but defective at top, applied on edge of 1857 cover to Camden Town, London endorsed "Per "European" (via Melbourne?)" and cancelled in black. Struck with framed "TOO LATE" in black and further framed "INSUFFICIENTLY / STAMPED" alongside. Backstamped
"Sydney / New South Wales" despatch cds (March 11) with London arrival in red (June 12) on obverse. A scarce cover - the "Too Late" applied as mail for the European was not accepted after March 10th and the underpaid marking applied as the "European"
