Imperial Administration handstamped British East Africa 1895 (July 9): ½ a. deep brown and 2
a. vermilion used on 1895 cover sent registered to Derby and re-addressed on arrival to Fulham, tied by MOMBASA squared circle datestamps (Sept 1). The adhesives crossed by blue crayon line typical of usage from the C.M.S Mission at Freretown.
Readdressed with part "Derby / 242" duplex to London (Sept 23). File fold well away from the adhesives, a fine and scarce correctly rated cover: one of just 6 recorded by John Minns (page 53). Signed A. Diena.rnrnProvenance: Collection Stuart
