5163B imageAntigua 1853 (Oct 13): Entire letter from Antigua to Dover, then forwarded to London, struck on reverse with superb double arc "ANTIGUA OC 13 1853" datestamp in black. Obverse with undated EASTCLIFF, Cornwall handstamp and DOVER (Nov 3) arrival cds in reddish black, forwarded to London, then a second time within London and franked with two Penny Red, tied by barred numerals, the reverse with a plethora of London datestamps in red. The entire opened up to display the ANTIGUA despatch cds, with wear and tear, nevertheless a most interesting entire. (Image 1) (Image 2)

Underpaid 1 d. for the registered rate and charged on arrival with imperforate Postage Due 15 c. yellow-green (2, one sheet marginal) paying the minimum fixed charge on an under paid letter and tied by "GAMBOMA / MOYEN CONGO" datestamps (Feb 9, 1922). Reverse with Melbourne transit (Nov 15), Loanda / Angola transit (Jan 21), Matadi (Belgian Congo) cds (Jan 30), Makotimpoko cds (Feb 6) and Gamboma cds (Feb 8).
