Kriegsmarine in Venice, two covers to the Naval Commander in Venice, one from the office of the Governor with his cachet and paper double eagle seal on reverse, the other from the Austrian Consulate in Livorno in the State of Tuscany with wax seal of the Diplomatic Corps Toscano sent through the postal service EX OFFO tied with LIVORNO, this is the time before the Revolution of 1848 which decided that Austrian security for the Navy would be better served by establishing Pola as the principle base, after the fall of Napoleon in 1814-15 and the Kingdom of Italy, Venice once again become a base for the Kriegsmarine, very fresh and desirable, XF!
