Ansichtskarten: Propaganda

1945, An extremely rare leaflet (E.121/9a) dropped once; found in Kent, England. The text "Do you like that? You do? You may not in a months time! Air Raid on Berlin November 22nd, 1943" and then an arrow points to the other side, which displays rows of dead civilians after the Berlin raid. Only a bare handful known -- a rare V1 leaflet with provenance from the Joseph Nagl Jr collection as cited in Auckland's work 'V1 Rocket Propaganda Leaflets' -- this leaflet is the actual item illustrated in the book and is also the same one used on the excellent PsyWarrior.com website.

1945. V1 Rocket Flown People of Berlin Propaganda Leaflet. V1 leaflet for Allied troops: 'The People of Berlin' dropped on the Antwerp, Belgium area on 10 March 1945. "The People of Berlin including all prisoners of war and foreign workers hereby award "The Order of The White Feather the symbol of The Yellow Heart to Lieutenant-General Spaatz United States Aircorps for conspicuous cowardice and conduct thoroughly becoming to a sadist". In England the white feather was given for cowardice -- see one of the many filmings of 'The Four Feathers'. Small tear and was folded. 1945. V1 Rocket Flown Leaflet The Other Side Nr 5. Rocket leaflet prepared by the Germans for the Allies, extolling their secret weapon, the V1 rocket. This series is quite rare, with only a handful known to exist in England. Some V1's carried, in additional to their explosive payload, a small canister of leaflets which were deployed around the site of impact -- this is one of the few survivors. It's a four page (single fold) newspaper giving the current 'news', with a German slant, of course. Very worn. Issue number five was deployed over the Netherlands.
