FINE-VERY FINE. A SCARCE IMPRINT AND PLATE NUMBER BLOCK OF EIGHT OF THE 30-CENT COLUMBIAN ISSUE. ESPECIALLY DESIRABLE FROM THE TOP PLATE POSITION -- THIS IS THE FIRST PLATE BLOCK OF EIGHT WE HAVE OFFERED SINCE KEEPING COMPUTERIZED RECORDS.

A Power Search review found only three top plate blocks of six offered in all of our sales, and no plate blocks of eight from the top position. None was offered in Todd, Lilly, Wampler, Kobacker or Gray collections. (Image)

A Power Search review (which includes all of our Rarities sales) indicates that we have only sold six plate blocks of six and five other plate blocks of eight, plus a block of 18 containing two imprint and plate no. multiples which has probably been broken.
