Horizontal pair showing misaligned entries, large margins to full at bottom right, neat strikes of red grid cancel, tiny tear at top of left stamp, still Very Fine, with 2014 P.F. certificate, the subject of misaligned entries was addressed by Wade Saadi in the August 2010 Chronicle, he surmises that the reason only five U.S. stamps prior to 1870 had framelines is because the siderographer had difficulty aligning the entries and, therefore, designs with ornamental frames produced a better appearance (Image)
