VERY FINE APPEARANCE. THE LARGEST RECORDED MULTIPLE OF THE CONFEDERATE STATES 10-CENT DIE A PERFORATED ISSUE. A PHENOMENAL SHOWPIECE.

A small quantity of stamps was perforated using a British perforating machine brought through the blockade. The experiment was quickly abandoned.

Ex Boggs and Birkinbine. With 1976 C.S.A. certificate for a block of 98, which was broken by Jack Molesworth. The next-largest multiple is a block of six. Accompanied by original sales receipt from Molesworth. Scott Retail as blocks of four. (Image)
