Public Auction - October 10-11, 2014

We are pleased to present our Auction No. 630, to be held on 10-11 October 2014 at Roermond.

In this auction you will find the best offer of intact collections and accumulations we had over the last few years. Amongst others wonderful, valuable collections of Germany including all Territories, France, Belgium, United Kingdom, Denmark, Russia and so on. You will see many illustrations of a great part of all those lots, just to give you an idea of the attractiveness of this great offer!

The session Netherlands and Overseas Territories starts as usual with a wide range of the beautiful First Issue, and further many rare and sought-after single stamps and series, some important proofs and, inter alia, the Postal Order Stamps and the very rare Postal Packet Stamps Nos. 1A, 2A, 1B and 2C, all mint and never hinged!

As always our postal history session is very extensive and deserves your special attention. Every lover of covers and cancellations will find the wide and varied offer mouthwatering. A general characteristic is the fine quality of all items. A rarity is the complete cover from 1746 showing a superb cancellation of the French field post office ARM: DE FLANDRE, which is an important cover of great philatelic and historical value and an exhibition item of the highest calibre. The Frans van den Heuvel Collection of Dutch Numerals 1876-94 present a lot of attractive covers in the same fine quality, just as the Dr Jan Vos Collection of the so-called Martin-postmarks. A wide array of censored Netherlands East Indies covers 1939-42 is a part of the Ties Verkuil Collection, and from the Dr Frans Rummens Collection we offer censored World War Two covers from Curacao and Suriname.
