3572 9a var. imageGerman Colonies: Marshall Islands, 1900, 10pf Eagle, diagonal bisect (Scott 9a var.), tied by neat Jaluit circular datestamp, 5 Dec 1900 on cover to Ponape, Caroline Is. with manuscript instruction "Druchsache" [printed matter], backstamped Ponape, 13 Jan 1901; the front and the back of the cover are completely separated and each is split vertically along a file fold, effectively dividing the cover into quarters, nonetheless, an interesting piece of postal history., 2008 Sismondo certificate calling the cover, in effect, a genuine philatelic usage.
