1983 756-765 image1935, 1¢-10¢ National Parks complete, imperf & gummed (Scott 756-765), matched set of top plate blocks of 6, o.g., never hinged, extraordinary complete matched set of full wide tops, each plate block fully gummed in 1940 by the Post Office Department that were sent in by the owners; the 4¢ value showing two on the plate block with pre-printing paper folds, this is the first complete set of Post Office Dept. gummed plate blocks we have ever had the pleasure to offer at public auction; how the editor's at Scott came up with a catalog value of $2,430 is a mystery and the auction realization for this should fine tune this value in the next Scott Specialized catalog; an extremely rare set deserving of spirited bidding, Extremely Fine to Superb.
