Three covers unusual for their postal markings, one with 5c from Colima bears circular "despues de la hora" (received after hours), a 2c postal card up-rated 1c has two strikes of the circular "Havarr" (probably a carrier's mark), and a cover with 10c tied by superb strike of Ortiz (SON 60/3), Very Fine.

2483 /o      Mexico, 1895-98 Mexico Mulitas Issues. Collection/accumulation of 66 mint (26 different) with a Scott c.v. of over $2,200 and many used (plenty of duplication may yield watermark position varieties, etc.) whose c.v. will exceed $3,000, used includes sound examples of Scott #s 255, 264 & 284, this is mercifully free of dangerous perf varieties (270a & 283D are cheap and safe); occasional fault, generally fine to very fine.

2484       imageMexico, 1895-99 Transportation Issue Covers. Impressive group of nineteen covers (six mounted for exhibition) of which nine are registered, one from December 1896 franked with a 50c, one inbound from Austria has a 10c used as postage due, most valuable cancel may be Cabo San Lucas (BC 4/1), but very likely as rare as Niltepec (OAX 39/1 variant) tying 5c on cover to Canada, and unrecorded type China (Nuevo Leon) tying five 3c and a 5c on a registered cover, Horcasitas (SON 87/1) and Metlatoyuca (PUE 51/1) are also very scarce, generally Very Fine, an interesting group.

2485       Mexico, 1899-1903 Coat-of-Arms & Views Issues on Cover. 38 covers including several registered, much above normal in terms of cancel interest, the most exotic being Payo Obispo (Quintana Roo) and Calmalli (Baja California), one has a 19803 Nebuloso weather report receiver, good range of destinations including British Honduras and a striking registered better items-color illustrated cover to the Canal Zone, a 1903 cover with 1c+2c pair canceled Palizada, Campeche (Taylor CAM 12/7) is particularly fine, two registered covers from the Italian legation in Mexico City to Rome are large and impressive, generally F.-V.F. or better.

2486       imageMexico, 1913-15 Mexican Revolution Cover Balance. Of approximately 90 items; including a 5c perforated Sonora "White" issue whose stamp, tied by Naco oval, has a corner peeled away, in nicer shape are 2c+3c Oaxaca Provisionals (philatelic cover), a 1916 cover to Tunisia and 1913 to Algeria, 50c Sonora Plata (Scott 413) tied to legal size cover (rare, even if possibly philatelic), several registered and with U.S. dues, rest while mostly common exhibit a good range of issues and are not without interest; condition varies, please inspect.

2487       Mexico, 1914-15 Local Provisional Overprints on Cover. Approximately 45 covers with 19 different overprint types (one seldom sees so many different in one group), the rarest is Viezca - unfortunately the 5c stamp is creased, two types of the Baja California are present, a registered front with two 20c Guaymas is a rarity, the 19 Monterreys include several with "Const…" error handstamp, cover with the possibly bogus "Foreign Service" is included; condition mixed as usual, nevertheless a very difficult group to duplicate.

2488     354//369 Mexico, 1914 Transitorio Issue on Cover. 60 covers of which ten represent nearly all of the value, these include seven official mail (frankings usually multiples of 3 centavos (3c, 6c, 9c up to 18c) including a registered with two 20c plus a 2c Denver issue - highly unusual, a registered cover bears four Scott 369 and another bears the 20c, one has 2c pair plus 1c Ejercito issue, and one is an 8c (4c pair) approximation of the 5c rate (due to stamp shortage), etc., F.-V.F.

2492       imageMexico, (Official Seals - Dead Letter Office) 1913-15 Rezagos (Dead Letter) Archive Covers. 16 covers sent between February 1913 and February 1915 all with Rezagos seals and most with accumulated postal markings applied after the contents were searched for information needed for attempted returns to sender (each ending in failure), markings include Lista, Mala Direccion, Recibida Abierta, No Reclamada, etc., three covers impacted by military events (Oficina Clausurada - P.O. closed) including the battles of Torreon and Monterrey and the occupation of Tampico, Fine.
