Estimate  $100 - 150. Dos Cabezas's post office was established April 8, 1879 and discontinued January 31, 1960. First settled in 1878, the town had a barber shop, a brewery, a general store, brick yard, hotel, blacksmith, and about 300 people. The mines were worked at a snails pace over the next 80 years and the town finally lost its post office in 1960. (Image1)

Estimate  $750 - 1,000. A RARE EARLY MANUSCRIPT POSTMARK USAGE FROM TUBAC, ARIZONA TERRITORY. Tubac was an Indian village and was first garrisoned by the Spanish in 1752. The Tubac Post Office was established on February 21, 1859, while in Dona Ana County, New Mexico Territory. It became part of the Arizona Territory on February 24, 1863. Officially it was considered as Fort Tubac between June 1864 to January of 1866 and May 27, 1867 to March 4, 1868. This cover falls between the later of these dates. (Image1)

Scott No. U278  Estimate $500 - 750. In 1873 gold was discovered south of Arivaca near the Mexican border which led to a Gold Rush in that area. The town name formed part of the printed corner card of the Webster, Musick & Cuniffe, who also where proprietors of the Overland Transit Co. at this time. The postmaster simply added the date in manuscript. This company operated as express and forwarding merchants to such places as Trinidad, Pueblo and Santa Fe. A stunning and important usage. A RARE IOWA TERRITORY USE WITH THE FANCY RED KEOKUK POSTMARK.
