A last second arrival with seemingly excellent potential and loaded with postal history incl some U.S., a must view and ideal for someone who enjoys the thrill of the hunt as they sort through boxes of material.
Seven albums or stock books with 1000s of stamps; incl 1980s/2000s Aland NH incl booklets, postal stationery and Xmas seal sheets, two albums of Germany 1872/1932 with some useful inflation period (incl Officials) and 1930s issues, airmails incl C26 NH but with bit mount glaze, C27-37 mint, Japan mostly used early to mid 20th century issues, France & French Area in two volumes with many hundreds of stamps incl France 1940s/50s with B285-90 NH, 1930s/40s French Africa, finally a beginner collection (some useful Commonwealth) in old-time "Lincoln" album, etc., usual mixed condition, mostly F-VF.
Mostly 1960s/70s sets, singles, S/S, mini-sheets, etc. in fourteen albums with virtually all NH, myriad of different countries and topics- QE II Silver Jubilee, colorful Guyana issues of the 1960s/80s, Art topicals of Europe, Fr. Africa, Latin America and Hong Kong, 1974 UPU Centenary, 1960s/70s France, San Marino and Malta, 1968-76 Olympics incl Hungary imperfs, Liechtenstein 1960s/80s with numerous mini-sheets, Europa incl Monaco S/S, soldiers and uniforms, etc., generally fresh and F-VF or better, a pleasure to view.
six shoeboxes loaded with old opaque glassines (literally thousands of them); much material pre-WW2 with probably the most potential in the 2000+ vignettes of the 19th and early 20th centuries with themes such as Lloyds ships, Paris fairs, aviaton events, exhibitions inc better British Wembley Lions, much se-tenants, etc. the postal history has balloon flights from the early 1920s to the 1970s including many autographed, the other 4 boxes also with considerable interest as well, have much non-Scott listed featuring at random Indian Native States, Burma inc Jap Occ, Russian PO abroad, German States postal stationery cut squares galore, Germany, Fiji, and more; usual mixed condition, mostly F-VF; an eclectic lot with plenty of potential.
Hundreds of thousands of U.S. and foreign stamps, accumulated over decades by a group of missionaries, weighing well over 150 pounds, starting with U.S. stamps as early as Columbians, National Parks, Famous American, Prexies, to as late as 37c, some stamps sorted into plastic bags by denomination, others sorted by type: Christmas, Foreign, Transportation, on/off paper, etc (with one box just filled with Christmas Seals), still others sorted and labelled by Scott number, condition is mixed as usual, make sure you bring a truck because there is a tremendous amount of volume here. Great opportunity for a bourse dealer, packet distributor or approval service.
An extensive range of material overwhelmingly mint never hinged housed in nine albums with focus on miniature sheets/sheetlets with a huge face value and plenty of topical appeal (lots of Europa), mostly from European area with a good amount of 1960s/80s Switzerland, similarly with Italy, Belgium, etc. with add'l useful (in random order) Monaco, Portugal, Malta, Isle of Man, Romania, etc., generally fresh and Very Fine; nice lot (huge new issue cost) for the retailer.
Interesting and diverse range of material incl Faroe Islands 1975/2005 essentially complete NH in a Kabe hingelesss album; Space Topical collection of 1960s/80s US and Russian event covers and postcards with frankings of Austria, China, UN, etc., Germany mostly 3d Reich stamps and covers in two volumes (some earlier stamps), 65 covers mostly of the 1940s with registered, censored, few later Hindenburg flights, etc., stamps mostly used 1870s/1940s with useful Inflation and 3d Reich periods with some better, stock book of 100s of Lithuania from first types onwards, lastly Turkey from the star and crescent types through to 1930/40s, also some interesting 19th century back of the book, etc., usual mixed condition, mostly F-VF, view to appreciate.
Albums (3) and stock books (3) featuring album with Titian art topicals (modern issues) another album of Austria almost complete 1945/70 incl Costumes, better early 1950s issues, etc., final album The 3d album is starter collection of mostly used France classics through 1960s; the first stockbook is France with few add'l colonies and an occasional better issue, another stock book with nice mostly mint post-1950s Monaco with colorful topicals, lastly a larger stock book of Germany from the shields to 1920s period with several 100s if not 1000s of stamps through to the inflation period with much used, usual mixed condition, mostly F-VF.
Seven folders of collection balances and stock cards incl Netherlands colonies with better Neth. Indies, Surinam and Curacao; next being Austria and offices abroadclassics through 1950s, useful finland incl few roulettes, nice assortment of various coats of arms and through to 20th century, an stock shet filled with Fiume, starter group of Iran with usual bit of forgeries and reprints, additional Belgium, Portugal and colonies (best being Port. India), etc., usual mixed condition, mostly F-VF.
Two old-fashioned stock books filled with many 100s of mostly mint with some multiples, much focus on France with useful NH charity issues incl B11 used, 1940s/50s mint sets incl B238-43 strips of five NH, various "RF" overprints, assorted French colonies including long series of Dahomey planes, Madagascar maps, Cameroon forests, French Victory and Chad-Rhine omnibus, various France Libre series, Guadaloupe Lorraine Cross, Reunion, Martinique, French Guiana through to Wallis & Futuna with majority NH, also note some Luxembourg (329-31 NH), etc., generally fresh and F-VF, well worth a look.
