A chaotic collection and accumulation ranging from the "Penny Black" (4 margins) onwards through to QEII period mint defins and commems, also with several dozens of glassines loaded with many many 100s with a random sampling revealing QV onwards through plus some Lundy Island and Herm Island, as well as much regular GB, particularly KGV and KGVI high values, etc., usual mixed condition, mostly F-VF, worth an unhurried viewing.
Several 100s of mostly used with a handful of covers and postal stationery neatly arranged on quadrille pages, starts with the imperfs of 1854/55 imperfs used in in varying condition incl ½a blue (4), 1 red (4), 2a green (3), 4a blue and red (4 of which 3 are cut to shape, the other two margins), then numerous mostly used Victorian issues incl 1895 2r-5r used, KE VII 1902/09 2r-15 r used, KG V 1911/22 to 25r used with few duplicates incl high values, 1926/36 25r, KG VI to 25r and a strong range of officials and back of the book including some Convention States, QE II period quite extensive with some useful back of the book, usual mixed condition, mostly F-VF, nice foundation collection.
Desirable accumulation of 1000s (probably equal proportion mint and used) chronologically organized (for the most part) in seven well filled stock books with some minor duplicartion, each reign well represented perhaps more towards the 19th century issues than the 20th, also includes the range of officials, also a small section of India and British post offices abroad, occasional blocks of KG V/ KG VI, the used is also well represented with a wide range of cancels, unchecked for varieties, usual mixed condition but better than usual, mostly F-VF, viewing highly recommended.
Outstanding and extensive collection nicely arranged and annotated on homemade pages in two binders, including the emergency issues, a substantial range of airmails both perf and imperf to high values, some errors and varieties, unusual postal history both commercial as well as philatelic, etc., generally fresh and F-VF or better, nice lot for the specialist.
Many 100s of mostly more recent cacheted FDC (to 2000s issues) incl commems, S/S and definitives (incl £ values) from Bahamas through to Zimbabwe as well as philatelic and commercial uses, better from Hong Kong, Gibraltar, St Helena, Bermuda, New Hebrides, Brunei, Singapore, etc. and even includes handful of KG VI (mostly Gibraltar) covers, mostly F-VF, please inspect carefully.
