1744 og 22c #22c, 1c Green and black, imperforate horizontally, mint vertical strip of five containing two such error pairs, from the unique pane of 100 in which the top five rows of perforations were omitted, wonderfully well centered, deep rich colors, o.g. which is somewhat soiled as always on these, choice very fine; this is the unique strip of five, with only three other pairs and two strips of three recorded; this strip made its first public appearance in our September 1996 sale of the James B. 1745 nh 23a image#23a, 2c Red and black, imperforate between, bottom imprint margin horizontal strip of four, the middle two stamps being the error pair, well centered and remarkably fresh, o.g., the error pair is never hinged, the end stamp are lightly hinged, extremely fine; certainly the most striking of the twenty pairs produced; 1967 APS certificate for the block of eight from which this came, as well as a 1999 PF certificate for this strip.
