1040 F 657 image#657, 2c Sullivan Expedition, remarkable exhibit collection offered intact, over 300 first day covers, the vast majority of which are cacheted, many of the cachets being represented by all 15 of the official cities (including better cachets such as the first Roscher, which also has an unofficial Syracuse R.P.O.), there are over 30 of the first Elliot cachet, with different cachet varieties and cities, the H.D. Egolf cachet from all cities in blocks of four, plus there are unlisted cachets, unofficial cities, blocks, plate blocks, etc., as well as some interesting non-FDC commercial usages including a crash cover and a cover to Yugoslavia, even a mint stamp in the scarce Lake shade is included, while much of the collection is already written-up on exhibit pages, there are several items (including better) that are not yet mounted, all of which could be melded together to form a strong basis for a medal-winning exhibit.
