508 og 562a image#562a, 10c Orange, vertical pair, imperforate horizontally, pristine mint example of this very rare error, radiant color, well centered within large margins, o.g., current certificate states "previously hinged" although we find no trace of hinging, very fine; only 50 pairs are recorded, and according to Datz "Most are poorly centered. Twenty-seven pairs contain splicing paper on the reverse or blue pencil marks on the front." in view of these facts, there is little doubt that this pair is among the finest known; signed and position numbered on the back by Ward in light pencil; 1986 and 2001 PF certificates.
