843 O 613 image#613, 2c Harding, rotary press perforated 11, exceptionally well centered for this, particularly when compared to other existing examples, with its perforations well clear of the design all around (a rare occurrence), strong rich color and an unusually clean impression on bright paper, very light and unobtrusive wavy line machine postmark, completely devoid of the faults which affect many of the known copies, very fine and choice. The Two Cent Harding rotary press perforated 11 stamp is one of the most sought-after rarities in United States philately. There are 39 confirmed singles and two pairs known - all of which are used. Nearly two-thirds of the existing population are sound, however a great many of these are found quite poorly centered, often with the perforations cutting the design. The example offered here from Mr. Floyd's collection is among the better centered examples available, and certainly one of the most lightly cancelled. A highly desirable and eye-appealing example of this important rarity. Accompanied by 1982 and 1990 PF certificates; ex-Greenblatt. (Image) 27,500.00
