346 og 203 image#203, 2c Scarlet vermilion special printing, without gum as issued, extraordinarily well centered within large margins, wonderfully vivid and intense color that is characteristic only to the genuine Special Printings, completely free of the faults that affect several existing examples, extremely fine. A marvelous quality example of this immensely rare stamp, of which only 20 are recorded (18 have been certified by the Philatelic Foundation, plus two others - one of these is not available to collectors as it is in the Miller collection housed in the New York Public Library). Upon comparison to other known examples, it is evident that the Floyd example ranks among the very finest available due to its outstanding fault-free condition and its exceptional centering. The last example to appear at auction was the copy found in the Larry Lyons collection which this firm sold in January 2000. His example, just slightly better centered than this one, realized a record $60,000.00, plus the 10% buyer's premium. A rare opportunity to acquire one of the great United States rarities in outstanding condition. Accompanied by 1953 and 1998 PF certificates, as well as a 1992 PSE certificate; ex-Hetherington, Anderson and Weisman. (Image) 26,000.00

347 og 204 image#204, 5c Deep blue special printing, without gum as issued, phenomenally well centered amid immense margins which are unheard of on any of the Special Printings, deep luxuriant color and a crisp detailed impression on fresh paper, uniformly even and intact perforations all around, simply superb. An incomparable example of one of the great rarities in U.S. philately. We are aware of only 18 confirmed copies, 17 of which have been certified by the Philatelic Foundation, plus there is an additional copy housed in the Miller collection at the New York Public Library. Of the 18 confirmed copies, this is unquestionably the finest Five Cent Soft Paper Special Printing. A spectacular stamp that is not only the finest existing example of an important rarity, but it also ranks as one of the most impressive stamps in all of U.S. philately. Accompanied by 1953 and 1992 PF certificates; ex-Lilly, Hetherington and Anderson. (Image) 45,000.00

A magnificent example of this incredibly rare stamp. A total of 22 different copies have been certified by the Philatelic Foundation as genuine Five Cent Garfield Special Printings. Due to the extreme rarity of this stamp, very few collectors will ever have a chance to own a copy of this elusive Special Printing, and fewer still can acquire one in this outstanding quality. Signed Costales and accompanied by a 1992 PF certificate. (Image) 28,500.00

351 og 211D image#211D, 4c Deep blue green special printing, without gum as issued, most impressive right sheet-margin example, magnificently centered within large margins, rich luxuriant color and a deeply etched impression on bright fresh paper, an extremely fine gem in every regard. There are 26 recorded examples of this immensely rare stamp, 25 of which have been certified by the Philatelic Foundation. The number known exactly coincides with Post Office records which indicate 26 copies of the Four Cent Special Printing were sold. Therefore, it is highly unlikely any further examples will ever be found that will be certified by the PF. Clearly one of the finest examples extant and one of only two marginal singles known. The other, which was sold as part of the Larry Lyons collection, was almost an exact mate to the Floyd copy. Green, Hewitt and "Concord" Collection. (Image) 26,000.00
