64 og 37d image#37d, 1870 3c Indian red, the very rare perf. 12½ Ottawa printing, an incredibly well centered mint example of this elusive and seldom offered stamp, believed to be the finest of the approximately six copies in existence, fabulously well centered (the others are all quite off center), strong distinctive color, part o.g., certificate notes a "surface mark at top center" which is barely visible, however there is a trivial nibbed perf. at lower left which is not noted, still extremely fine; this is only the third example that we have ever offered and is far and away the best centered; a great Canadian rarity that is not available for years at a time; 1984 BPA certificate (Unitrade C$12,000.00). 80 nh/ogng   Balance of the Edward Dauer collection of Canada and B.N.A. colonies comprised of a few hundred mint singles and a few sets arranged on stockcards, strength in Newfoundland from the 1861-62 issue on, being fairly complete, especially the 20th century, and nearly all n.h., the rest is all 19th century, including Canada with a 2c Large Queen, 6c Jubilee with PF certificate and a nice selection of Maple Leaves and Numerals, occasional small fault, no gum and a few hinged, overwhelmingly n.h. and nearly all fine-very fine and better, with some choice stamps to be found. $14,160.00
