WORLDWIDE
LotNo. Symbol Lot Description Cat. Value
1703 image EXTENSIVE WORLDWIDE COLLECTION IN 31 LARGE THREE RING BINDERS, includes about 146,000 different mint and used singles, includes 430+ different countries, hinged in 31 large three ring binders on homemade pages and contained in five large cartons, most of the larger countries are well represented and include a fair amount of pre-1900 material for each country but many countries run up to the 1990's with some later, also many countries have good showings of B.O.B. material, the overall condition is mixed and there are faults to be expected and there are some mint items which are slightly stuck down, also this collection was stored in a basement for many years and there is some slight mildew scent, the percentage of mint and used is nearly 50-50, some of the early mint is unused, the catalog value listed is from a inventory provided by the consignor which is listed by country, it is our opinion that the actual catalog value will be closer to $275,000 given some identification issues and also some reprints and condition issues here and there, also the owners catalog value is from 2016 and this fact was taken into account in our "reevaluation" estimate, catalog values up to about $500 with some higher and significant number of items which catalog in the $25-100 range, so there is plenty to work whith here, some of the better countries include: Australia($7340), Austria($5980), Belgium($3690), Canada($6670), China($5420), China-PRC($2630), Denmark($7290), France($17,840), Germany($13,300), Great Britain($12,900), Hong Kong($3150), Iceland($8080), India($3000), Iran($5430), Italy($10,980), Japan($4710), New Zealand($4110), Norway($5100), Russia($5620), Spain($3110), Sweden($3710), Switzerland($7700), Turkey($12,700), there is NO U.S. included that lot is listed elsewhere in this sale, we have included a number of scans of some of the better pages from some of the better countries, viewing this one will take some time, a very interesting and valuable collection with a signficant number of stamps and a huge amount of catalog value, well worth careful consideration and certainly one of the better Worldwide collections in terms of value and number of different stamps we have offered in quite some time, good luck to the buyer of this massive collection with many, many hours of hunting and picking ahead (Image)

1704 image EXTENSIVE WORLDWIDE COLLECTION IN 12 BLUE SCOTT INTERNATIONAL ALBUMS, includes about 35,000 different mint and used singles and sets, hinged in 12 blue Scott International albums, the collection runs to about 1950 and runs from A-Z plus a U.S. section too, the overall condition is pretty clean but faults are to be expected, there is a good percentage of mint here but most of the catalog value is in the used, this is not a JUNK collection!! we saw hundreds of items with catalog values in the $10-100 range and dozens even higher, many of the major countries are well represented, the U.S. is very strong and the Netherlands and Colonies section is amazing with a very high degree of completeness and easily thousands of dollars in catalog value alone, the number of different stamps is our estimate based on a few album counts, the total catalog value is difficult to estimate but several of the large countries are certainly in the thousands of dollars and many others are in the hundreds of dollars, we feel our estimate is conservative but viewing this collection in person will be a huge advantage to the serious bidder and we wouldn't be surprised if the total catalog value here would be in excess of $75,000, a rare opportunity to obtain a huge number of stamps and a significant amount of value in one shot, certainly one of the better Scott International collections we have offered in quite some time, (ENV 7,500-10,000) (Image)
