York Am. Pkt. 21 Sep. 26" circular datestamp, London transit backstamp, Very Fine and rare with the stamp canceled by a British marking and the Southampton Mobile Box, carried on NGL Hansa from Southampton, arriving New York Sep. 26, also an unusual cover directed via open mail during the French-U.S. Treaty and due 21c for American Packet service (arrived in London as a loose ship letter), this was a more expensive routing and therefore seldom used.
