Humorous cartoon design depicting a Confederate general (Beauregard?) in silly outfit and then running like the wind at lower right after meeting McClellan, Wells imprint, on light yellow cover addressed to the 3rd Postmaster General in Washington D.C., neat "Dayton Mich. Apr. 9" circular datestamp with day in manuscript, slightly reduced at right, Very Fine and very unusual design, we were able to locate only two others (Siegel Sale 326 in 1968 and a 1988 Frajola sale), ex Matthies (Image)
