Scandinavia, Very Impressive Collection, 1855-1968. On Scott Specialty pages in large green binder, mid-to-later nineteenth century used, rest is mint, many twentieth-century in crystal-type mounts---some may be NH, have been counted as OG; from about 1960 all appear to be NH; begins with beautiful Danish West Indies ($1,200) almost complete; Denmark ($7,000) begins with # 1-8 used ($1,500+) and other early classics used, beginning with # 25 they are mostly mint (unchecked for frame inversions), # 41-52 mint ($378) and on, mainly complete mint, some OG, until 1968, also # C1-5 mint ($309), #Q1-11 mint ($646); Finland ($3,000++) begins with full-toothed # 5 ($58), #7-8 ($520), #9-10 ($120) all used and #12 mint ($290), pretty much complete until 1968, including #C1 ($125), difficult # Q1-17 ($184) and often overlooked # M8 ($160) all mint; Greenland ($600+) begins with #1-18 mint and is complete except for one set until 1968; Iceland ($7200+) is absolutely dazzling, beginning with #16 ($75) and # 21, 24-5 ($173) all mint, and includes many sparkling mint sets, like #34-44B ($329), #71-84 ($454), #92-8 ($375), #144-8 ($338), #152-66 ($492), #170-5 ($204), #C4-8 ($600), #C9-11 ($335), #O4-9 ($343), O40-9 ($309), O53-62, 66-7 ($575)---the gems never seem to end; Norway ($3900+) starts with #1 ($175) and #2-5 ($185), #8-9 ($98) and #11//15 ($185) all used, most nineteenth century are used, but #32-34 ($200), #74-95 ($252), #B1-3 ($127), #J7-11 ($146) and #O9-21 ($123) and other twentieth century are mint; the best is last with Sweden ($11,000), including some stunningly beautiful cancels on #2 ($110) and others, twentieth century is virtually all mint, including #52-65 ($569), #66 ($240), #126-38 ($487), #145-63 ($433), #197-212 ($730), #213-27 ($807), #B12-21 ($342), #C5 ($190), #J1-6, 8-11 ($1,175), #O1-11 ($751) and #O12-25 ($582); This is a very solid and popular collecting area, and the "red hot" country of Iceland is substantial, generally Fine to Very Fine.

A beautiful splendidly presented & highly comprehensive collection in 12 volumes on printed album pages, offering an apparently complete run for the 1981-2011 period. In addition, there are 2 of the 12 volumes which includes some earlier issues, plus two index card boxes full of duplicates in glassines.
