S.G. #31, 1895 £25 Black and blue green Coat of
Arms, a rarely seen unused example of this important British African
rarity, being the only certified unused example we have offered in years,
as this stamp is notorious for being found with cleaned fiscal cancels,

marginal tear, reperforated at left and lightly toned), it is nevertheless
a very presentable example of a stamp that is missing in virtually every
major British collection; 1987 Brandon certificate (Scott #31;

high values were typically scissor separated), o.g., although accompanying
certificate inexplicably describes the gum as "disturbed", which seems odd
as this stamp has much cleaner original gum than usually found, fine; 1987
BPA certificate; ex-Isleham (Scott #41; $3,750.00). (Image) |
