S.G. #69 |
S.G. #69, 1907 2p Dull and bright purple, watermarked
multiple crown and "CA", a fresh mint example of this enormously rare
stamp which was never issued to the public, with only 18 of this value
and the 4p ever reaching the philatelic marketplace, and with singles
of each in the British Philatelic Library Collection, plus a set of singles
and blocks of four in the Royal Collection, this leaves a mere 12 examples
of each value available to collectors; strong fresh colors, o.g., bottom
left corner perforation tip has been added to a slightly rounded corner to
preserve this stamp's overall very fine appearance; ex-Lilly (Scott
#71; $7,250.00). (Image) |
