S.G. #2/256a |
S.G. #2/256a, Valuable balance of the mint collection containing 82
different stamps, 1852-1947, much of the value and desirability of the
collection is found in the comprehensive range of 1852-78 Britannia types,
with many elusive and valuable stamps present, including items which
catalog £100-950 each, some of the higher cataloging items include
(all S.G. #'s): 4a, 5b, 7, 12, 12a, 29, 45-47, 52, 57 (cert.), 58, 60 and
64, from 1882 on the collection is very near complete, with many better
sets, along with correctly identified shade varieties; condition, as usual,
varies on the early Britannia types, with small faults and/or no gum to be
found, however, these are not your typical quality items found in most
balances of Barbados, late 19th century and all 20th century with o.g. and
generally fine-very fine; considerable catalog value involved (Scott
#1/201A). |

S.G. #O1-4 |
S.G. #O1-4, 1934 1/2p - 6p "OFFICIAL" overprints
cplt., a very fresh and wonderfully well-matched set of these rarities,
each with bright color and attractive centering, o.g., all four values with
barest trace of hinging, the 1/2p has its top left corner perforation
pulled, overall very fine; an enormously rare set of stamps that was in use
for only a very short period of time (fewer than 25 used sets are
recorded), and none were ever sold to the public, therefore mint sets are
even more rare than used sets, with this being the first set we have
offered in over eight years; each accompanied by a 1991 PF certificate, as
well as a 1992 Brandon certificate as a set; ex-Dale-Lichtenstein (Scott
#O1-4; $10,850.00). (Image) |
