Select group of approximately 280 mostly different advertising covers, almost all from the "classic" 1850's to 1870's period with 3c 1851-57, 1861-67 and Bank Note Issues, only a small number of stampless or later issues, many unusual subjects and a wide range of illustrated designs incl. Phrenology, patent medicine, nurseries, publishers, early hotels and manufacturers, all of the covers were selected from a much larger group, thus the designs and condition are far better than typically offered in such a large quantity, usual edgewear and some stained or faulty, but generally Fine-Very Fine, a tremendous opportunity for the collector or cover dealer, the retail value must be well over $10,000 (Image) E. 3,000-4,000
