EXTREMELY FINE GEM. THIS IS ARGUABLY THE FINEST USED EXAMPLE OF THE RARE 1862 2-CENT NUMERAL ON GREENISH BLUE PAPER.
In our opinion, this stamp is superior to the four other sound Extremely Fine used copies we located in Caspary, Honolulu Advertiser and Pietsch sales, by virtue of its huge margins all around.

EXTREMELY FINE GEM. A SUPERB USED EXAMPLE OF THE RARE 1862 2-CENT NUMERAL ON "ROBIN'S EGG" BLUE PAPER.
This stamp is one of the few sound used examples of the 1862 2c Numeral on Greenish Blue paper. The size of its margins and light blue grid cancel make it one of the most beautiful copies extant.
Ex Caspary and Honolulu Advertiser (Image)
FINE APPEARANCE. THE 1862 2-CENT NUMERAL ON "ROBIN'S EGG" BLUE PAPER IS EXCEEDINGLY RARE ON COVER.
Ex Adm. Harris, Ostheimer and Honolulu Advertiser. Scott value for No. 14 on cover is $7,750.00. (Image)
EXTREMELY FINE GEM. THE 1863 ONE-CENT NUMERAL ON GRAYISH PAPER IS EXCEEDINGLY RARE IN SOUND USED CONDITION.
Ex Wilcox (Image)
EXTREMELY FINE APPEARANCE. A RARE USE OF THE SAN FRANCISCO DATESTAMP TO CANCEL THE 1863 ONE-CENT NUMERAL ON GRAYISH PAPER.
The 1c Numeral was typically used on local or inter-island mail. The presence of the San Francisco datestamp on this example indicates it was used to make up part of the Hawaiian 5c rate.
Ex Crocker, Atherton and Pietsch. (Image)
EXTREMELY FINE STAMP AND PRESENTABLE USED PIECE. THE 1863 ONE-CENT BLACK NUMERAL ON GRAYISH PAPER IS EXCEEDINGLY RARE IN USED CONDITION AND THIS PIECE MAY BE AS CLOSE TO A COVER AS EXISTS.
As a measure of rarity, neither the Caspary nor Honolulu Advertiser collections contained a cover bearing the 1863 1c Black on Grayish (Scott 15). This piece was part of the Atherton collection for years until Charles J. Pietsch III acquired it. A complete cover may not exist.
