Apr. 30" exchange office datestamp with month at bottom of cancel and manuscript date, perfect strike of red "U. States" ribbon-frame handstamp of Morristown (still showing traces of shading in the scroll), red Brockville backstamp

VERY FINE AND WONDERFULLY CHOICE. THE ONLY RECORDED EXAMPLE OF AN 1847 ISSUE COVER BEARING THE MORRISTOWN, NEW YORK, EXCHANGE OFFICE HANDSTAMP.

A very scarce routing because Brockville was opposite the U.S. exchange office, this short route did not require any Canadian postage due.

States" ribbon-frame handstamp of New York quite well-struck, red Brockville backstamp

VERY FINE. AN EYE-APPEALING AND HIGHLY EXHIBITABLE 10-CENT 1847 COVER TO CANADA BEARING A CHOICE STRIKE OF THE NEW YORK EXCHANGE OFFICE RIBBON HANDSTAMP.

A perfect companion cover to the previous lot. Both are from the same correspondence from New York City to Brockville, Canada. However, this one bears the New York City exchange office handstamp, while the previous one has the unique exchange marking attributed to Morristown N.Y.

With 2002 P.F. certificate.
