EXTREMELY FINE GEM. A SUPERB ORIGINAL-GUM EXAMPLE OF THE $5.00 COLUMBIAN ISSUE, WHICH HAS BEEN GRADED XF-SUPERB 95 JUMBO BY P.S.E.

With 1990 P.F. and 2008 P.S.E. certificates (OGph, XF-Superb 95 Jumbo; SMQ $6,750.00 as 95, $16,500.00 as 98). Only three have graded higher (all at 98) and only five others share this desirable grade. As another indication of the desirability of this stamp, it was featured as the sole item on the front covers of Siegel Sale 385 (Dec. 8, 1970) and a March 5, 1990 Bennett catalogue (copies of covers accompany) (Image)
