Traces of original gum, close margins but clearing all around except just touching the frameline at bottom, accompanying certificate notes "slightly soiled and oxidized", the oxidization has since been removed and we do not see the soiling

FINE UNUSED EXAMPLE OF THE ONE-SHILLING NEWFOUNDLAND SCARLET VERMILION. AN EXTREMELY RARE STAMP IN UNUSED CONDITION.

This value is not known for having large margins, like those seen on other denominations such as the 8p. Many are cut in or have faults.
