3003   image[Maryland] Georgetown, "26th Nov. 1790" dateline on folded letter addressed to Philadelphia, lightly struck straightline postmark on front appears to read "TOWN N vt 29" plus manuscript "2/8" and "6". This letter probably originated 200 to 300 miles from Philadelphia. The most likely point of origin would be Maryland as the writer mentions missing the stage from Alexandria. If this originated in VT it would be extremely rare; file fold slightly breaks the paper at right, Fine to Very Fine.
