591   imageIraq: British Mandate, 1929 (Apr 10), cover from Hillah to Havana, Cuba, backstamped Baghdad 11 Mar29 and Havana May 4. Although cover is marked to be carried on Armstrong-Siddeley first flight it never made the flight as plane left Karachi May 4 and Baghdad May 9. Chances are cover caught the second flight on the City of Jerusalem which left Baghdad on 16 Apr and arrived London Apr 21. The two red markings are called "Jusqeau Markings" and denote flights to certain destinations by air service and then by steamship to Cuba, Fine, a scarce exhibition cover.
