1929 Western Australia Centenary 1½d Swan SG 116 horizontal part-imprint pair from the base of the sheet Imperforate at the Base
ACSC 138b, very fresh, Cat $35,000+ for singles. Superb. Ex Arthur Gray: sold at our auction of 30.10.2015 for $35,700 (Sale 207 Lot 405). One of the most desirable errors of the King George V Commemoratives. Illustrated in the ACSC where it is
stated that two pairs and two singles - all from the same sheet - exist: two more singles have been recorded in recent years.
Hugh Morgan's single with the other half of the imprint sold in 2012 for £14,400. In the auction catalogue it was noted as "gum a little browned", which was incorrect: it was re-sold at our auction of 28.2.2023 for $14,640 (Sale 250 Lot 250). The
'Tillie Mitchell' - minor gum thins - and 'Artemis' - a little oxidised - singles sold for $13,175 (Sale 242 Lot 352) and $12,580 (Sale 246 Lot 320) respectively. (Image1) (Image2)

1934 Victoria Centenary Perf 10½ 2d orange marginal example from the base of the sheet with Double Perfs at the Sides & the Base
ACSC 151b tied by Melbourne electoral slogan cancel to cover with Melbourne Centenary illustrated imprint - very similar to the stamp issue - in blue at lower-left & 'THE VICTORIA' (Hotel) imprint on the flap, to New Zealand, undercatalogued at $750.
The stamp is superb. Discovered only in 2013 and sold at our auction of 2.8.2013 for $2095 (Sale 183 Lot 93). The ACSC notes that this cover is the only recorded example of the error.
This is the only instance we have recorded of Double Perfs on any value in either perforation in this issue. It is thus a very significant item. The existence of a 2d with Double Perfs was noted in the Australian Stamp Monthly of June 1940, but no
such item has not been recorded in the post-WWII period. (Image1) (Image2)

unconvinced about their status. RPSV Certificate (1999). Better-centred than non-marginal examples that sold at our auctions of 16.5.2023 (Sale 251 Lot 405) and 23.9.2025 (Sale 261 Lot 2136) for $1405 and $1705 respectively. (Image1) (Image2)
