14 (108F), to "Verbo, Hungarian" with lengthy personal message inside and States/Commonwealth combination franking with New South Wales QV De La Rue ½d green added tied by 'BROKEN HILL/NSW' cds, carried via Adelaide where taxed with
'T/20CTS'-in-circle cachet applied on the face, light 'VERBU' arrival backstamp, opened to retain the perforated border, minor blemishes & small perf reinforcing at upper-left. The foreign letter rate was 2½d per ½oz; the item was 1d underpaid and
thus taxed. The small village of Vrbove was at the time part of the Austro-Hungarian empire; now in present-day Slovakia. (Image1) (Image2)

1d red tied by a largely fine complete strike of 'NEWCARNIE/WESTN AUST' cds, slightly truncated on opening not affecting the stamp or illustration, minor blemishes. The illustration is multi-coloured, the Map including rivers with 'Newcarnie' marked,
and looks a fair bit better than the issued stamp. Ex David Adams. Wonderful: yearning to be the frontispiece of a deserving Kangaroos collection.
