2048 13d imageConfederacy, 1863, 20¢ green, diagonal bisect. Large margins, neatly tied across the bisect by double circle "Charleston, S.C., Jun. 27, 1864" postmark sent to Manchester, S.C., Extremely Fine and attractive, with 1969 P.F. certificate.

Some of the 20¢ stamps were bisected by the postmasters in a number of cities and the halves used for 10¢ stamps, when supplies of the regular 10¢ value were exhausted or their requisitions for 10¢ stamps were delayed by the war.
