1481 o      Queensland, QV Old Time Collection. Of several hundred stamps mounted on quadrille pages, black stock sheets and approval cards and jammed into folder. Nearly all QV 1d denomination of the 1897-1907 issues, an interesting study of retouches and re-entries meticulously annotated. Also a QV group selected for cancellations, a few KGV Heads and low value Roos used from Queensland.

1482 o      South Australia, QV Extensive Cancellation Collection. Of several hundred stamps on album pages, black stock sheets and approval cards arranged alphabetically by town. Including various imperf and rouletted issues, 1886//1911 "long" stamps with values to the 5/, a range of numeral and town cancels and some Kangaroos and KGV heads all selected for So. Aust. cancels. Many spectacular strikes. Also includes essays with blank value tablet (3) and filled in tablet (2) plus 1d, 2d and 6d first issue reprints. Many F-VF but some also some mixed condition.

1483 o      Tasmania, Cancellation Collection. Of 400 items, approximately 2/3 of which are imperf stamps, mounted on black stock pages and presented in numerical order. Includes scarce and rare barred and manuscript numerals, pairs, strips of 3 and 4 including a marvelous sheet margin vertical strip of #1 with partial inscription at bottom bearing numeral 23, 4 cut-to-shape examples of the 4d orange on small piece each canceled bold numeral 44 (both ex-Sato, the former has been repaired), large piece with 4 examples of the 4d orange, each canceled barred numeral "18", also 28 other examples of the 4d orange, some on piece, 11 of which not cut to shape, a few pen cancels, 3 covers, one had contained a Valentine (name excised). Many exhibition quality strikes. Condition very mixed but many fine or better. Undoubtedly huge catalogue value. An exceptional holding.

1484 o      Tasmania, QV Manuscript Numeral Cancellations. Collection mounted on 3 album pages consisting of all manuscript numeral cancellations from Brighton, numeral 12 (14 examples, 2 are the 4d orange cut to shape), Huon, numeral 36 (20 singles, 2 pairs and a strip of 3), Westbury numeral 57 (2, scarce with only a few examples recorded) and Waterloo Point, numeral 58 (a 4d blue block of 3). A very nice group.

Mostly on the sideface Queens, mounted on black stock sheets and on dealer retail sales pages, over 340 items including pairs, a strip of 4 and a block of 4. Exceptional quality strikes on the vast majority of stamps make this a most unusual assemblage difficult to duplicate. The odd small fault but most appear F-VF.

Collection/accumulation in 11 albums & stockbooks, large envelopes and folders, covering the Roos and KGV through the modern era, early is extensive but primarily very fine used and with many better shades, printings and cancels and unchecked for printing flaws, hundreds of dollars of mint more modern and quite complete until the 2000's, there are some more modern plate flaws, plate number studies, multiples, stamp packs (including some earlier better ones), booklets, etc.; nice lot that must be properly viewed.
