1860, envelope to Colchester, England, with red despatch cds "HONG KONG PAID C JY 7 60” (Webb type 14) and manuscript "6” (pence) prepayment, with reverse transit and arrival cds, fine, in addition a second cover from the same correspondence with similar red "HONG KONG PAID C JA 29 60” with reverse transit and arrival cds, the envelope a little tatty. 1863/1974 (ca.), mint never hinged/unused and used accumulation with many duplicates, showing a fine group of the early unoverprinted issues up to the 30 cents, together with a few multiples, slightly mixed condition

1891/2024 (ca.), hundreds of covers and cards with an abundance of interesting usages, many before the 1950s, noted early postal stationery cards, some First Flight covers and censored mail, better items noted like 1895 one cent postal stationery card with additional 2 c. carmin (vertical pair) tied with cds "AMOY” via Hong Kong to Danzig, etc., except for the occasional fault in overall good condition.
1866, Treaty Ports: Shanghai, United Kingdom entire letter from London to Shanghai, cancelled 'Lombard Street / F.O./ Paid / MAR/10/66' cds. in red, endorsed "via Marseilles" on top left. For Late Fee only 1 d. red cancelled and 1/4 d. prepaid in cash by red crayon. Sent via "Care of Messrs. John Burd & Co., Hong Kong”. File fold at bottom, otherwise fine and an unusual entire. The addressee, John Anderson Esq. Mess. W.R. Adamson Co. Shanghai, formed his firm, exporting tea, silk and general merchandise in 1858 in Shanghai and became Chinas greatest export company for tea and silk. In PROFI archive no other forwarding agent covers John Burd Co. to Shanghai recorded.
1879 5c. on 18c. lilac on black on blue U.P.U. formular postcard, very fine and fresh, a difficult card to find in nice condition. (Yang P2)

1901, 4 c. on 3 c. postal stationery reply portion of double card with inverted black surcharge (Yang P14 var.) cancelled VICTORIA HONG KONG AU/21/01. Addressed to Stettin Germany with arrival mark 20.9.01, tiny corner crease, otherwise fine. PROFI recorded only one normal card with inverted overprint, reply part inverted is unrecorded.
1881, Nine different postal stationery cards including ´ONE/CENT´ surcharge on 3 c. brown and 4 c. grey, two answering cards, all unused, few tiny toned, mostly fine
1891, surcharges 20 c. on 3 c., 50 c. on 48 c. and 1 $. on 96 c., all with "SPECIMEN” overprint, unused with original gum, 20 c. one missing perf and small spot between "I” and "M”, not further affecting the appearance, otherwise fine and fresh (Yang Nr. 42-44, HK$ 6000,- for MNH)
