1341 O/nh   imageLarge Mostly Mint Collection, 1953 to 2007, consisting of singles, plate blocks, booklets, souvenir sheets, all neatly displayed on quadrille pages, housed in 15 thick binders and one stockbook. Each issue is displayed with either a plate block, booklet or souvenir sheet, and paired with a used or mint single. Appears to be complete in period, with some light duplication. We noted different inscription plate numbers and booklet varieties. Includes many high value definitives, and better such as a #BK265 (NHL All Stars), #BK251A (Vancouver 2010), sheet of # 1991C-1991D (Canada-Alaska Cruise) and more. Face value does not include hundreds of stamps under 17¢. Also included are a few complete sheets and a 1995 sealed annual collection ($30 face value). Very fine and useful lot for the collector or postage user, with high catalogue value. 1342 O/og/nh   imageHighly Documented Collection of Mint and Used Stamps, from 1890s to 2003, housed in 25 thick binders, consisting of complete sheets, souvenir sheets, booklets, blocks, plate blocks, and singles, in mounts, on home made pages, noting a few better stamps such as used #60. The earlier issues are for the most part used with the odd exception such as 2c Jubilee (mint block of 4), but becoming increasingly mint and never hinged from the late 1940s onwards. The collection features specially prepared pages with in-depth description for each issue, accompanied by many color photocopies (see scan for an example). We noted some tagging and perforation varieties, as well as some better such as #226 (50c Victoria Parliament) and 227 ($1 Champlain Statue) in mint never hinged singles, #271 matched set of mint plate blocks (20c, Pl 2, Peace Issue), 272 LL mint plate block (50c, Pl 1 Peace Issue), and more. The face value was carefully counted by the owner and adds up to $1,865. During our cursory look, we detected a faint odor of tobacco. A great collection to build on, and the online photo shows a representative page from the collection.

1343 O/og/nh   imageBox of Postage, Plate Blocks, Sheets, Booklets, Souvenir Sheets and More, 5 binders contain a nice variety of material displayed on stock pages, with higher value items (noted for example S/S #1660ai), complete Millenium souvenir sheet set, sheets including a group of Centennial sheets (#s 454pi, 455pi, 456xx, 457piv, 458pi, 459, 460fpxx, 544pv, 544p, 462piii, 463p, total c.v. $795). The lot also includes some earlier blocks and plate blocks from the 1927 issues on to the 1950s. Many booklets also included, from KGVI to Centennial, again with a few better, as well as a box of mint stock in envelopes, from #275 to 533, a stack of Canada Post souvenir folders, a group of used cheques, used blocks, a collection of Federal Duck stamp booklets (complete 1985-1999, c.v. $400), and more. We conservatively counted the face value (items 25c and higher only) at $1,180. A few of the older mint blocks have small faults, otherwise a mostly very fine lot, worth a close look, as this is a better than average lot. 1344 O/og/CVR   imageCollection of Mostly Used Canada and BNA, 1859 to 2021, consisting of thousands of stamps mostly hinged in two luxurious ledger books, with an impressive level of completion for basic issues including many dated postmarks and some souvenir sheets with c.t.o. cancels, still hard to gather in this breadth. Canada starts with Scott #4, then a basic set of Cents (no #16) followed by Large Queens (basic set plus shades, and we noted a 1c watermarked with a full E), then Small Queens (x124) with many shades, a few fancy cancels and some perforation varieties noted by the owner. Jubilees run through the 50c and then it is complete through the Québecs and Edwards. The Admirals include some shades; we noted a silver-black 50c. A fine Bluenose is there along with definitive issues through the $1 and very few gaps into the late 1960s. There is also a scattering of mint issues, mostly in black mounts along with a few covers here and there. The BNA includes PEI (x12), British Columbia (x1), Nova Scotia (x8, including #2, the 3d with four margins, c.v. $150), New Brunswick (x6) and Newfoundland (x66) with a good mix of mint and used including a MNH set of Postage Dues). We noted that some varieties were identified by the owner. Condition is generally very good to fine in the early issues and fine or better from the 1940s onwards. This collection would fill gaps for many collectors or prove useful to dealers or resellers. Our online photos only show the earlier material plus some back of the book and the BNA, along with a few pages of the more modern material of the past decade. Best viewed in person to appreciate the breadth of the contents. 1345 og/nh   imageGroup of Over 150 Mint Souvenir Sheets, a "Write Me, Ring Me" Card Set, and a Canada-Alaska Cruise Sheet, among other interesting items including a 2001 Series 2 All-Stars NHL stamp card set plus 2 booklets and a FDC of personal postage commemorating Snelling Paper's 100th anniversary. The souvenir sheets have face value of $514, with strength in the 45c to 57c era, along with other denominations to $2 and over 130 "P" stamps, and some duplication. Another $15 in face value is included in loose stamps. The "Write Me, Ring Me" is a complete set of four unopened packs containing the stamps and phone cards (Unitrade c.v. $200). The Canada-Alaska Cruise sheet catalogues $100. Also includes 34 Wildlife Habitat and Fishing stamps (van Dam over $600 total) in booklets on black stock sheets, with federal and provincial issues from the 1990s. This very clean and very fine group of items would be attractive to collectors, dealers or postage users or resellers. Our online photos provide a glimpse of the contents. 1346 og/nh   imageCollection of Mint Stamps, 1953 to 2013, with thousands of stamps on more than 100 black Vario-style double-sided (mostly filled both sides) stock sheets. There is substantial completion in the period, including in many cases se-tenant blocks and strips, coil pairs or strips, some complete booklets or booklet panes, and some souvenir sheets. The last decade or so is populated by die-cut stamps likely taken from quarterly packs or annual collections. There is a full set of 17 Millennium miniature panes and other owner-identified, Unitrade-listed varieties. We noted the inclusion of a block of four of 730iv (imperforate coil with no score line, Unitrade c.v. $150) and a single of each of the unissued Christmas stamps 1534ii and 1535ii (c.v. $800). Our observation showed that most stamps were hinged through 1970 and most were never hinged from the 1970s onwards. The high face value of the modern issues would be great for the postage user or reseller in addition to the collector looking to fill gaps. Our photos of this very clean and fine or better lot provide a mere glimpse at the contents, though viewing is recommended. 1347 O/og/nh   imageGroup of Mostly Mint, late 1800s to 1976, with about 70 stamps including back of the book in an investment-style stock book, with the usual diverse selection of items, some better. The book starts off with a full set of mint NH 1946 Peace issue, a 10c blue Admiral with doubled Ottawa precancel, a block of 4 of owner-identified OA175 (5-hole OHMS on 20c Harvester, with "missing pin in S" variety) , a plate 1 UR block of 6 of the 10c Loyalist issue (lightly hinged in the margin and on one stamp), a set of War issue coils in strips of four and two blocks of Postage Due issues: a plate block of 6 of J3 (4c first issue, plate blocks are scarce) and a block of 12 of J7 (2c second issue). Also includes a nice $1 Totem with G overprint, and a Newfoundland 10c black Schooner and an interesting miscut booklet BK88 on Rolland paper. We note a small representation of Victorian era stamps up to the Admirals, with strength from the 1930s onward. We note the majority of the early stamps are used with mint stamps scattered from the 1930s onward. We also note a few better items including mint never hinged Map stamps (x2), mint never hinged $1 Destroyer and $1 Ferry. The lot also includes back of the book material including two pages of revenues, and a small group of booklets (War issue and Mufti issue) Closer inspection could yield high rewards for the dedicated collector. 1354 O/og/nh   imageExtensive Group of Modern Varieties and Errors, with most of these valuable items still on dealer cards such as from Saskatoon Stamp, Bileski, Weeda, etc. A wide variety of varieties in this one, such as papers (37c Rolland coil pair) misperforated, smeared ink, various tagging varieties (mostly with Rose or Peters identifications), perforation changes (over 30 Mammals corner blocks and the scarce 1998 Christmas 13.1 x 13.3 all around), printed on gum side, aniline ink, untagged errors, imperforate varieties and much, much more. We counted over 90 items (incl. singles, pairs, blocks or groups), with retail prices mostly in the $25 to $300 range. Most of the material is never or lightly hinged but also includes some used. Also includes several souvenir postcards or sponsorship items and an Astronaut Marc Garneau autographed Canada in Space FDC.
