Postal History, Canada continued...

First Day Covers continued...
LotNo. Symbol Cat No. Lot Description
1081 CVR   imageLot of Over 1,100 First Day Covers, from 1950s to early 2000s, with a few earlier, consisting of singles, se-tenant, blocks, inscription plate blocks, souvenir sheets and a few high value definitives. Most are from Canada Post but we noted a group of Colorano cachets, items from Fleetwood and other private cachet makers, a collection of all different cancels from the 1976 Olympics, a set of Millennium issues, as well as about 100 uncacheted covers from the 1950 and 1960s featuring the Terrace B.C. postmark (items in this album have faults due to poor storage). No appearance of duplication, includes a few better such as airmail issue (#C3) and the George V Medallion issue (1c, 2c, 3c, 4c, 5c). Also included are a few commercially used covers and a real photo postcard of the newly built Anyox B.C. hospital dated 1919. Overall very fine. 1086 CVR   imageExtensive Collection of Over 2,200 First Day Covers, 1951-2022, left intact by us, housed on Vario pages in 18 Canada Parliament Stamp Album binders. Early material is lightly duplicated, though usually with different cachets and/or cachet makers (note Rose Craft, N.R., H&E, Kingswood and Jackson). Modern material includes covers with singles, se-tenant pairs, blocks, plate blocks, souvenir sheets and booklet panes. We note better such as 38c Regiment UR plate block, Hoodoos error souvenir sheet, Canadian Landscape Painters Kiosk stamps (x2), a Rush cover signed by Geddy Lee, NHL covers signed by Bobby Hull, Serge Savard, Ted Lindsay, Johnny Bower, Duck stamp covers, philatelic numismatic covers, Millennium souvenir sheets and all the desirable modern high value issues. Collection appears to be fairly complete, with lots of extra goodies and a little duplication through the latter material. Well worth looking at this one in person, despite our numerous photos online.
