1506 O/og France imageMint and Used Collections in Two Albums, both with stamps from 1849 to 1971, mixed mint and used. One album has a notation that there was a catalogue value of $15,000 in 1999, but stamps may have been removed, so inspection is recommended. Nevertheless, there are still many high catalogue value stamps, for example #7 (pair, $720), 96 (three used copies $210), 126 (two used copies $150), see scans for more. A good selection of early material, with good potential for cancels such as numbered lozenges, c.d.s., etc. Two useful collections. 1507 O/og France imageThree Scott Specialty Albums, 1849 to 1974, two of which contain used and one mint. The two used appear to complement each other in that what is missing in one can often be found in the other. Strong in early material, with much postmark interest as well as many higher value stamps throughout. We note two 5fr Napoléon (both with faults), semi-postals near complete in period, better air mail issues and postage dues, note Colonies #1-6 (mint and used) and more, note that most of the souvenir sheets are missing. Catalogue value appears to be very high (the two used albums contain a combined older value of over $20,000, not counting the album of mint). A very nice lot for the specialist, see scans for just a taste.
